I love my job. It gives me the opportunity to interact with students, who have a lifetime of learning ahead of them. They are like sponges, absorbing information and skills that you present to them. They really learn a lot when they have my art one classes. From those students, several move on into art 2, 3, 4 or advanced placement art classes. My advanced classes are way more independent in their work, so it gives me the opportunity to work on projects of my own. In the past few weeks I have created several for demonstration works, and one of my grand son. So, here they all are.
This first one is a work with a statement
This is a mixed up grid. The face is out of proportion and out of sequence
This one is for a work on symbolism. Students had to use current symbols that would be recognizable to others today. They had to explain what the picture meant.
Kids loved and were weirded out about The statement one lol. You are pretty awesome mommy
